The Position


This position is responsible for coordinating the U.S. engagement of our Triple Bottom Line (TBL) and sustainability initiatives across the business. This position also coordinates communications internally with global and externally with stakeholders. This includes capturing data, measuring impact, and developing reports. Serves as projects manager for environmental and social impact engagements as needed.


Relationships


Internally, this role works in close collaboration across the organization to ensure consistent and aligned strategies, goals, and messaging as it pertains to TBL including our green sustainability agenda. Strong collaboration with the business functions understanding the sustainability strategies is essential. External Relationships include engaging with various vendors, trade and professional organizations. Works cross functionally to manage the organization’s sustainability initiatives as needed. Work closely with legal, compliance and NN A/S to support a compliant relationship and activities.


Essential Functions

Be the NNI point of contact for global inquiries and reporting on social impact, sustainability and environmental strategy

Quantify impact and value, tracking and reporting progress on budget and related key performance indicators (KPIs) across the business in the execution of the TBL and sustainable business efforts at Novo Nordisk Inc (NNI)

Work closely with communications team for appropriate integration, promotion, and pull through on strategies and tactics

Track developments in environmental, social impact, and sustainability trends that are applicable to CSSI and NNI

Lead NNI’s cross functional teams on environmental impact and social impact initiatives, including overseeing the environmental plan and subsequent activities and communications

Individual communication with members of the team to help capture information, data, metrics for the plan

Engage and coordinate with other business units in NAO as needed

Physical Requirements


0-10% overnight travel required.


Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required

5+ years healthcare experience preferred

Experience working on project work including reporting, quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, can synthesize information succinctly

Ability to develop strong relationships and forge alliances

Strong communication and organizational skills needed

Strong ability in planning, analysis, negotiation, meeting management, cross-functional team and leadership skills required

Attention to detail and project management

Ability and commitment to work in a team environment

Computer skills (MS Office/PowerPoint/Excel)

Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills

Experience working with research and data experts to translate findings into common language
