We are looking for team players who are passionate about climate change to join our Energy & Resources team in London. The right candidate will be able to express their views and perspectives on the energy transition and be comfortable in front of clients. Also, in keeping with our strong people focus, we need people who are just as passionate about their own development, and that of their team, as they are about the energy sector and climate change.
What will you be doing?
You will be working at the forefront of the energy transition alongside power market and climate change specialists with deep industry knowledge where you will be able to deploy and then broaden your skill set and sector expertise. Our services are in increasing demand from both energy companies and corporations which are needing to adapt their business models in order to respond to the risks and opportunities from climate change as well as the financial institutions who are investing the capital needed to enable the energy transition.
Our climate change advisory team gives our clients an unparalleled combination of energy transition expertise and commercial insight. We are proud to work with the foremost corporations, policymakers, regulators, investors, developers, lenders and energy companies operating globally across the energy supply chain. Led by a Senior Management Team respected as Thought Leaders within the industry, we help our clients shape, define and implement change in the energy transition.
We advise the organisations at the heart of this energy transition, providing economic, commercial and strategic consulting to corporates, energy companies, financial institutions, governments and regulators. Examples of our work include advising financial institutions on assessing Credible Transition Plans of investee companies, advising a global consumer products corporate on their net zero carbon strategy and advising government on the costs and benefits of different future energy policy options.

We are looking for a candidate with experience in climate change and/or the energy transition to join our award winning climate change advisory team. You will be well versed in the economic fundamentals of energy markets, and passionate about addressing the trade-offs of the energy transition. Ideally, you will have experience in interpreting and using the outputs of techno-economic models to support the development of client carbon reduction strategies.
You will be able to navigate and dissect a companies business case and energy transition plans to address its corporate carbon footprint. The ideal candidates will have experience in some of the following:
A deep understanding of the drivers of climate change, how they impact the energy transition and how these impact in the commercial and strategic options available to companies managing the energy transition.
Ability to explain and share insights based on energy market fundamentals and awareness of the tradeoffs and decisions implicit in the transition to a low carbon energy system transition.
Experience in the commercial structures, assessing routes to market for power generation assets and designing business models in energy markets.
The ability to take ownership and deliver results in client-facing environments.
Excellent communication and presentation skills and a track record of effective team working.
The ability to manage projects day-to-day and oversee inputs / outputs from our climate risk modelling team.
