THC Marijuana News (THCMN) is seeking an entry to mid-level writer to jump start this aggregate news and product review website. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to quickly grow and expand into revenue-sharing aspects of this business. An ideal candidate has an innate ability to go above and beyond what is required, is aggressively progressive, yet flexible with collaborative efforts, and has the foresight to see beyond what is presented in front of them.

This position requires a ‘jack-of-all trades’ mentality, from learning about pre and post-production processes, to the global political landscape of the cannabis industry. If you can quickly acclimate to this steep learning curve or think you already have the experience necessary, we’d love for you to submit a cover letter and a 250-to-500-word sample article about anything cannabis-related.

A THCMN Content Writer will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

* Ideating and creating the categorical structure of our website.
* Re-structuring and editing blogs with an occasion to be inclusive of sponsors, companies, and/or brands.
* Setting the foundation of how content will be managed.
* Liaise with Editor-In-Chief and Marketing Department to fulfill any advertorial or promotional ops.
* Maintain and communicate forthcoming articles that may affect traffic or potential lead generation opportunities.
* Verification of article information during the aggregation process.

Experience Prerequisites

* 1-3 years of cannabis industry related experience in blog or review writing, content and digital marketing or product-focused content writing
* Writing samples of past work
* Experience writing for SEO both on main-site and third-party selling platforms
* Strong organizational skills via project management software (Monday.com)

Additional skills will be considered:

* Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
* Experience working within BigCommerce and the integration of 3rd party marketplace platforms such as Pinterest, Instagram, and Facebook
* Basic knowledge of Adobe CC (Photoshop or Illustrator) for headline or infographic creation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
