Guest Care Specialist Job Description

The Guest Care Specialist assists with the daily operation of the salon to ensure things run smoothly. They will provide excellent customer service to guests that come into the salon, as well as provide guidance and assistance with all retail products. They must possess exceptional communications skills, be self-motivated, have a cheery disposition and take pride in their own appearance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – include the following but are not limited to:

* Provide personalized attention to guests such as salon tours, seating guest, hanging coats, offering refreshments and giving them any paperwork, they need to complete before starting their service.
* Schedule and confirm appointments
* Greet, check-in and escort guests to the appropriate waiting area. Advise service providers that our guest they are servicing has arrived.
* Maximize scheduling for each service provider in a consistent manner. Use their schedules efficiently and properly block out time as the schedule changes.
* Check-out guest tickets encourage guests to pre-book services and promote our retail! Talk about the recommended product the service provider suggested.
* Suggest cross service recommendations to guests when scheduling appointments.
* Execute standard telephone procedures for incoming/outgoing calls using appropriate Mary Kate & Company verbiage.
* Input ALL guest information correctly. Accuracy and consistency are required in all aspects of the position.
* Resolve guest challenges and utilizing support of the salon managers when necessary.
* Responsible for balancing and checking register, as well as, processing guest transactions.
* Maintain organization and cleanliness in front desk areas, stock refreshments and retail areas.
* Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products in the salon offers. Educate guests on product benefits and assist guests in selection of retail products or services for their individual hair care needs.
* Must be flexible with schedule, including the availability to work evenings, weekends, special events, meetings, and educational training.
* Support the needs of the salon and the team, including cleaning duties such as sweeping, laundry, organizing, hosting, and assisting guests and other team members. You are not to good for any job. Every task is every team member responsibility to make sure it gets done properly and efficiently.
* Keep client flow consistent by notifying providers of changes in schedules and contacting our guest for any no-shows or if their service provider is running late.
* Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guest in the salon that require attention.
* Maintain a consistent relationship with guests in order to ensure return visits and provide excellent customer service.
* Actively promote the salon.
* Process the ability to work without supervision.
* Follows policies and procedures, supports salon goals and values, and treats people with respect.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $16.00 per hour

Common services are sanitized regularly. Working in the beauty industry, we are to follow certain sanitized guidelines even pre-covid. We are continuing those practices.

* High school or equivalent (Required)
