Roles and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

This position is for a full-time employee of Watearth and working on a variety of stormwater, Green Infrastructure, landscape design, water conservation, sustainability, resiliency, environmental, and water resources projects. Position includes landscape design, irrigation design, urban planning, exhibits, graphics, renderings, and communications. Assist with water resources, environmental, and stormwater planning and design as needed, including site reconnaissance. There is significant opportunity for growth into a Senior Landscape Architect, Project Manager, or equivalent position.


·       Degree in Landscape Architecture or related field – Masters Preferred

·       2-8 years of experience

·       Experience in planting plans for stormwater and Green Infrastructure

·       Experience with drought tolerant, low-water use, and native plantings in multiple climates

·       Sketchup, Photoshop, Revit, Lumion, or other graphics programs

·       Design and planning experience

·       Renderings

·       Outreach and communications materials

·       Irrigation design

·       Water use calculations

·       ArcGIS preferred

·       AUTOCAD or Civil3D preferred

·       Ability to oversee and perform field work (stormwater inspections, Phase 1/Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessments {EASs}, inspections, construction observations, and site reconnaissance for hydrology/hydraulics and other water resources projects)


This is a full-time position and is to be filled as soon as a qualified candidate is identified.  We offer flexible office locations in California (Southern California, Oakland, Sacramento), Colorado (Denver), Missouri (Kansas City), New York, Texas (Austin, San Antonio, Houston), Washington (Seattle), and Philadelphia. We also offer a flexible work environment including telecommuting opportunities, flexible hours with required core hours each weekday to meet our Central Time Zone and Pacific Time Zone needs (may require greater than 40 hours some weeks to meet deadlines), a competitive salary (DOE), and benefits.
