Accurate Personnel is hiring a Polymer Process Engineer for our client in the manufacturing of OEM compressor valves industry for their plant in Pompano Beach, FL. The Polymer Process Engineer's role is to set up and operate injection molding machines producing polymer parts. This position works on the production floor with the operators to ensure compliance with quality, efficiency and on time delivery requirements. This is a unique (high mix, low volume) operation working with custom engineered grade resins. This position spends 70% of time on day to day issues and 30% of time on future oriented issues.

This is a full-time position, generally scheduled weekdays. Relocation Benefits are included for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

Set up and operate hydraulic and electric injection molding machines, including adjustment of machine parameters to keep parts within specified tolerances
Run a CNC lathe to destructive test internal integrity of parts produced
New equipment specifications, quoting, and installation
New mold quoting, design, and testing
Build cavity pressure templates for processes
Build and maintain eDart server database
Maintain all injection molds (PM program)
Participate as an active member of the Continuous Improvement Effort
Perform Test Authorizations for our Advanced Materials Group

Requirements and Qualifications

RJG, Inc. Master Molder certification required
eDart experience required
High school diploma or GED with 5 years' experience with cavity pressure; or 4-year engineering degree with 5 years injection molding experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Understand Quality inspection requirements, including ISO requirements
Experience working in a 5S manufacturing environment, understanding of 5S concepts
Understanding of mold design and maintenance
Understanding and experience of robot operation
Experience utilizing/developing Work Instructions
Two years' experience with simulation software for polymer processing
Experience with CADD software for mold design
Demonstrated Project Management Experience
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
Ability to train and direct employees
