*Job Description*
The Teacher develops a weekly lesson plan using the Creative Curriculum and the Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards that actively engage children promoting cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.

*Ideal candidate for the Teacher position must be an experienced, responsible, and nurturing person. **Candidates with a Degree in ECE or related field starting at $18 per hour or more. **Candidates with a CDA, starting at $16 per hour. *

*Key Responsibilities of Teacher*
* Responsible for the overall supervision and daily class.
* Meet the emotional, social, physical and cognitive needs of each child and model better practices.
* Maintain a safe and healthy environment.
* Provides an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and imagination.
* Prepare a Creative Lesson Plan aligned to the PA Early Learning Standards.
* Assess each child's developmental needs through ongoing observations, and develop individualized child development goals.
* Maintain daily open communication with parents keeping confidentiality.
* Complete individual authentic assessments (Ages and Stages, Teaching Strategies).
* Conduct parent-teacher conferences three times a year.
* Complete daily and weekly paperwork including meal counts, observations, and lesson plans.
* Ensure all center policies, DHS and Keystone Stars, and state regulations are met.
* Attend in-service and staff meetings.
* Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

* A good understanding of child development.

* Must be able to work as a team.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience.
* Must pass full background check and health screenings.
* Capable of performing necessary tasks which may include: lifting, carrying, supporting and otherwise caring for young children. Be able to lift 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
