Seeking an experienced Chemist to be responsible for chemical product development. Excellent career opportunity.

Responsibilities:

1) Responsible for performing all functions of and adhering to all internal processes for the product modification, formula transfer and technical support. This includes management of company documents, data/results generated, system formulas, etc.

2) The position is responsible for working with raw material suppliers and outside vendors to assess new approaches to product design, manufacturing, and performance.

3) The individual must be proactive, goal-oriented and self-directed to foster teamwork and create an environment for success. Maintains close working relationship with Technical Project Manager, Technical Director and other members of the company to create and foster a highly interactive team environment.

4) Responsible to provide technical knowledge and training to both internal and external customers as needed. Performs additional and other duties when required to support the growth and interests of the organization, including but not limited to supporting customer line trials, attending offsite technical training, participating in overseas company training, giving product presentations, etc.

5) Promotes and practices the elements of QMS by being familiar with its philosophy and disciplines. Follows all policies and procedures. Represents the company in a professional manner during all activities onsite or when traveling on behalf of the company.

6) Responsible for understanding and adhering to rules and regulations pertaining to Safety (OSHA) and Indiana/Federal Environmental (IDEM/EPA). Responsible for handling Hazardous Waste throughout all processes including identifying waste properly, reducing the amount of waste generated, maintaining of satellite areas and understanding company rules and regulations pertaining to Hazardous Waste.

7) Participate in preparation of product usage and precautionary label instructions. Recommend procedures for detection, prevention, and elimination of physical, chemical, or other product hazards.

8) Authorized to stop further processing or delivery of a product when a non-conformance or potential non-conformance is identified until the unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

*Requirements*

*1. BS in Chemistry or related.*

*2. 2 or more years of Industrial Chemist experience.*
